Fusing rock and roll with funk, blues and pop, Johnny Slide is a trombone fronted four piece cover band whose addictive party rock sound is sure to get audiences dancing along to the hits they know. Based out of South Jersey, Johnny Slide is the ideal band for bars and restaurants, backyard parties and private events. Featuring the music of Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad, Pink Floyd, Santana, The Beatles, The Doors and War we are fun for all ages and will be sliding into a town near you soon!

The Origins

The Johnny Slide Band originated as a duo band between trombonist Jonathan Episcopo and Bassist Same Old Joe. Performing Thursday nights at Human Village Brewing Company’s open mics, the two produced original jams fusing old school punk with new school funk. Upon meeting guitarist Matt Kyle and drummer Nate Whyte, a make shift band was formed covering songs ranging from bands such as Chicago, The Doors and Santana. After receiving numerous positive comments from patrons, the group formed what is now known as the Johnny Slide Band.
